A dance school
with a big heart.
Good teaching gives people more room to become themselves.
Viv'Art began in 2014, when Nina Monteiro opened the school that first carried her name in the Isle of Dogs. A year later, a Surrey branch followed. In 2024, the school became Viv'Art Movement Academy: a new name for a continuing belief in generous, grounded dance education.
Today, pupils from 2.5 to 73 share the studio. Some are taking their first ever class. Others are refining a practice they have carried for years. All are welcome.
A little about Cecchetti
Technique that travels.
The Cecchetti teaching method played an important part in the development of classical ballet in the United Kingdom. Its influence runs through British dance education, from Enrico Cecchetti’s London school to the dancers and institutions shaped by his work.
At Viv'Art, that history becomes a useful foundation rather than a barrier. Clear lines, simplicity, and adaptable technique help dancers find confidence in a wide range of movement.
